Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology and nine other departments issued a notice on the "Implementation Plan for Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality in Science and Technology Support (2022-2030)", which repeatedly mentioned that photovoltaics:


Research and development of high-efficiency silicon-based photovoltaic cells, high-efficiency stable perovskite batteries, and other technologies, as well as research and development of carbon fiber wind turbine blades, design, manufacturing, and installation testing technologies for large-scale offshore wind turbines, typhoon resistant offshore floating wind turbines, and floating photovoltaic systems. Develop high reliability and low-cost solar thermal power generation and cogeneration technologies, breaking through key materials and equipment for high-temperature heat absorption, heat transfer, and storage. Develop technologies such as multi-purpose small modular reactors and ultra-high temperature gas cooled reactors with high safety. Carry out research and development of geothermal power generation, ocean power generation, and biomass power generation technologies.


New and efficient photovoltaic cell technology. Research on new principles of photoelectric conversion that can break through the theoretical efficiency limit of single junction photovoltaic cells, and research on new technologies for photovoltaic cells based on new materials and structures, such as high-efficiency thin film cells and stacked cells.


Light storage, direct and flexible power supply and distribution. Research on key equipment and flexible technology for light storage, direct and flexible power supply and distribution, building photovoltaic integrated technology system, and regional building energy system source network load storage technology and equipment.


Advanced low-carbon and zero carbon technology demonstration project. (1) Zero carbon/low-carbon energy demonstration project: construction of large-scale and efficient photovoltaic and floating offshore wind power demonstration projects; Constructing demonstration projects such as "wind and solar complementary" in areas with concentrated distribution of renewable energy; Establish a batch of "source network load storage data" integrated virtual power plants suitable for distributed energy; Strengthen the research on the full chain technology of hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization, and organize the implementation of the "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Houses" technology demonstration project; Build demonstration projects in areas with abundant coal resources, such as clean and efficient utilization of coal, flexible peak shaving of coal-fired units, and coal preparation of chemicals. (2) Low carbon/zero carbon industrial process reengineering demonstration project: Integrated demonstration projects such as large-scale hydrogen rich gas smelting, biomass fuel/hydrogen/renewable energy power substitution, renewable energy production of chemicals, high-performance inert anodes, and new process reengineering will be constructed in key industries such as steel, cement, chemical, and non-ferrous metals. (3) Green Smart Transportation Demonstration Project: Conduct scenario driven transportation self consistent energy system technology demonstration, and implement low-carbon smart road, waterway, port, and hub demonstration projects. (4) Low carbon and zero carbon building demonstration project: Build a large-scale demonstration project for the power supply and distribution of new types of light storage, direct and flexible buildings, a demonstration project for long-distance industrial waste heat and low-carbon central heating, a demonstration project for nuclear power, hot water, and heat transmission in the northern coastal areas, and a batch of high-performance green building technology demonstration projects organized and implemented in typical climate zones. (5) CCUS Technology Demonstration Project: Build a large-scale oil and gas field CCUS technology full process demonstration project, promote the coupling application of CCUS and industrial processes, and demonstrate the high value utilization of carbon dioxide.
